Engine oil Motorex or OEM Audi

Motorex Engine oil

At the end of the day, pretty much anything in spec will work fine.

That being said, I did a bunch of research for my V85 and determined that Motorex Cross-Power does the best in high demand applications. Air cooled engines can have a really wide temp range. That's what I use.

Pros: best in high demand

OEM Audi Engine oil

I have an 2007 A4 2.0T base. I bought the car with 120k miles on it in 02/19. Yesterday I hit the 224k miles on it. She's my daily driver, over the years I have changed/did the engine oil every 4k miles, car filters all over, wheel alignment, tires, brake pads, rotors, and the battery. Nock on the wood, my baby have been taking car of me. I'm actually surprised that this model is solid af.

Pros: model is solid af
Vehicle: Audi A4
Mileage: 360000 km

I tested it myself on my 3.0T, pumped everything out with the extractor, then jacked the car up and pulled the plug, catching evening that drained out in a measuring cup. It had less than 1/4 cup of oil left in the pan.

Pros: extractor removes most oil
Cons: small amount remains

OEM Audi Engine oil

New Audi do not have the oil sticks to check the oil levels, so they always under pour the engin oil in the car, my q8 is been serviced by Audi and past 2 years I have to top up oil (which is free as car is under warranty) but last month I got pissed and asked them to top it up to max and car runs much smoother and fuel consumption for 1 full tank is 130 km better.

Pros: car runs smoother
Cons: have to top up

I have a C7 3.0T A6. I put about 2 quarts of oil in it in between oil changes depending on how hard i drive. I don't have a check engine light. The engine doesn't knock, it runs fine.

Pros: engine runs fine
Cons: put oil in it
Vehicle: Audi A6

OEM Audi Engine oil

I do this on my Q5, I started using like half a quart of cheap new sacrificial oil to mix up the bottom of the pan and extract as much black oil as possible. I almost had an issue with the extractor tube getting stuck in the engine l, but I was able to get it out with a bit of force

Pros: extracts more oil
Cons: tube can get stuck
Vehicle: Audi Q5
