Just get slotted, drilled are prone to hot spots and cracks.
Try EBC instead. Also very good.
I have EBC rotors and Redstuff pads right now and am quite happy, but I had R1 and Powerstop previously.
Just had a major service done on 2017 Hilux 4x4. replaced front rotors and pads and comprehensive safety check and report. The best quality service I’ve ever experienced
front brakes are solid, i had trouble finding break disc locally for 4x100, and calipers you can buy rebuild kits or whole new ones.
Did a set of EBC slotted rotors and RedStuff pads on our 7.5 GTI and it's changed how the car brakes entirely. It's got a real consistent bite without bleed off.
I’m happy with the EBC rotors and red pads but I can’t get them to stop squeaking.
I had this when I fitted ebc discs on my Cupra. It's went on for a few hundred miles but then went away. I think it's something to do with the grooves. My thinking was they maybe had a little lip or something that eventually smoothed off.
Just run em’ after you grind it off. For a daily I would never run drilled. Noisy, water intrusion points, eat up pads, spider crack at the drill holes from water hitting a hot rotor, and you’ll be lucky to find a shop to turn them once they warp which is going to happen.
