I personally use Samsung 50S and RS50. The RS50 or 50XG are the optimal choice in my opinion.
I did the same replacements two weeks ago, it took about a week for the battery to recalibrate, definitely am seeing the improvements now.
I got the Note 9 the same day as my buddy did. I was very careful about slow charging from 50% to 60% (overkill, I know) and he was not careful. His phone crapped out after 2 years but I used mine for 4 years until I decided it was getting slow.
Maybe they’ve finally fixed the Doze mode they promised? Because, from what I can tell, my battery never improved after they released One UI 7. I’ve had this phone for two years, and the battery always dropped quickly - even when it was just sitting idle. But today, for the first time since I got the device, I unplugged it in the morning and still had 50% remaining by midnight.
I drive a 15 year old gas powered Audi Q7. Still runs like new. My issue with EVs is you can't just keep them tuned up when they're old. No matter how good of care you take of it, the battery will decay and lose capacity.
I do exactly the same tasks and mine don't drain that horribly. For me the battery drains quickly while watching movies and gaming only.
I would say the battery use on my S9+ is between 12-15% per hour, depending on the use scenario. Quite close to you, it seems.
It is a bit worse than I expected (coming from a Galaxy Tab s5e, which had unreal battery for its age), but everything is super fast, so not bothered too much with it. And the battery is still better than on my laptop, so it is quite useful when talking about some note-taking, e-mails and browsing tasks outside of home.
I noticed that some activities and apps (e.g., note-taking on Samsung Notes) take more battery than I hoped, but it is what it is.
Edit: Forgot to add, settings are maxed out, 120hz, bluetooth on, S Pen used constantly and charged from tablet, etc.
I could get about 10 hours of youtube at around 20% brightness with average volume at 60hz locked Not as good as previous tablets imo.
Spouse has a 2021 etron, (some issues, inc battery recall), I had a 2022 etron with many issues which prompted my change to a 2025 SQ6. I’ve written to Audi Canada so many times regarding the etron issues with no resolution on any of them. I like the SQ6 but this will be my last Audi - worst experience I’ve ever had with any vehicle and manufacturer.
Looks like I'm getting a battery replacement. Very disappointed in Samsung this year.
