I'd bet the valve cover gasket could be failing and the coilpack/s are drowning in oil.
Owner reviews for valve cover gasket
I tried to replace the original valve cover gaskets once when I had them off for another reason but I ordered the wrong ones so I just stuffed the stretched and checked originals back in and... they're still fine.
Definitely a bad valve cover gasket. I changed my spark plugs a couple months ago and I had hella oil on my 4th spark plug. Replaced the valve cover gasket and it fixed my issue 100%.
Had same issue on my 2016 R60 Countryman S. My notification for low oil pressure only occurred when I turned left at intersection or roundabout. It was strange. I took a flash light and looked around and engine bay and noticed that there what appeared to be fine misting of engine oil around valve cover toward washer fluid tube. Took Mini into dealership and they discovered that the valve cover gasket on the right side had a crack hence when I turn a certain direction the valve cover would open up just enough to spray oil out and loose pressure. Replaced valve cover and gasket and works perfectly now. Just thought I share if your mini has this weird low oil pressure when you are turning.
Change the valve cover gasket set, using ONLY the Elring original; their p/n is 326.560.
Without any doubt you’ll need a valve cover gasket replacement, make sure to get the bolt grommets and go with an Elring
I had the valve cover gasket and vanos solenoids replaced the first week of ownership.
only service item it’s needed is valve cover gasket @ 94k miles.
I have an 2007 A8 4.2 liter with 149,000 it need value cover gasket where can I order on ?
I also replaced the valve cover gasket because it was weeping a little oil in the spark plug tube. That's a known issue on the 2.5Ls.
