Little late to this thread. But my wife had Michelin Latitude Tour HP tires on her Ford Explorer when she bought it new. They are a high mileage compound tire. And she got every bit of 75,000 miles out of them over 5 years. No major or noticeable loss of grip, did fairly well in the rain, even at the end.

Had a blow out of my 21inch front right tire...Truck handled amazingly well with only 3 tires while crossing 2 rumble strips and 6 lanes of traffic decelerating from 75mph while navigating/negotiating the 6 lanes crossing to clear the roadway.

Falken, Toyo, Uniroyal etc are all good midrange. Don't skimp.

I just bought a set of winter Vredesteins in November and so far, I've been very, very pleased with their performance (coming from a history of Blizzaks, then more recently Michelin Alpins).

Saw the CC2s recommended which are solid. Planning on swapping my stocks out personally for GY Workhorses here in a week or two

Ditch the Geolanders and get Michelin CrossClimate2 tires.

I have Continental DWS06+ on my Mini Cooper SE w/ roulette wheels. They perform well enough for all seasons.

CrossClimates are a much better tire in my experience and opinion. They are stiffer and less soft, much more sporty feel but with balance. I felt like I had less control with a boaty steering feel on the Weatherpeaks.

I had the AS3+ on my MK7 and loved them. Car handled like it was on rails. The snow performance was not amazing. I just replaced them with the new AS4 and the turn in and handling doesn’t feel as crisp. It’s more mushy than the old version.

Had bad experience with Kumhos. My Kumhos got a sidewall bulge last year.
