I’m in Maine and my studded Hanook snow tires make my hybrid unstoppable.
Owner reviews for tires
Awd on stock conti tires. This is my second winter…
Just point and hit the gas. The awd will figure it out.
As someone who's owned 2 sets of 5 "crap" or "foreign" or "not recognized" tires, with regular rotations at 8000km (5000miles) I got about 50,000 miles out of my first set of 5 Amp Terrain Grippers and sold them to my buddy with 1/3 the tread left. 5 years, no dry rot, no flats, no balance issues, lots of off road and rock crawling use.
I have a new set of the recon grapplers and they preform very well for what I do.
I have the hybrid lariat and I got a set of snow tires on steelies. I have driven through slushy freezing rain/snow this winter and it didn't slide around at all.
I’ve lived in northern Colorado my whole driving life and I think the mav handles great. I still have the stock tires on and while I do drive very carefully when it’s snowy I have had almost no slipping/sliding
Got some falken wildpeak AT.
I got some Michelin S1’s and they was a huge improvement to my grip and stability!
I have a 1997 Town & Country with its original Michelin spare on a full size steelie and I thought this was already old enough.
Kuhmo TA31 is used as OE on some vehicles. It’s been ok in all season performance but absolute garbage on snow.
