Owner reviews for starter motor
I have replaced the Starter Motor/Solenoid with a reman Denso unit, the Starter Relay, and the Throttle Position Sensor, and it seems to have basically solved most of the issues I’ve been having.
Am fost inclusiv la reprezentanta. Mi-au recomandat să schimb electromotorul. Schimbat, pus Valeo.
Third one was Honda OEM and is still starting fine to this day!
The key is to replace with an OEM Toyota or a Denso (the brand Toyota uses) and not an AutoZone special.
The '05 Honda CR-V that was $1,200 because it hadn't run in 3-1/2yrs due to needing a $16 brush kit in the starter?
When my truck wouldn’t start after a jump… it was the starter 2019 Silverado ld 70,000 miles on it
I had trouble with starter on my older Accord too, and know two people who has Honda Accord that had to replace it to under 130k miles. This car type seems like had shitty starter esp prone to Accords.
So about 2-3 months ago I got my starter replaced at a BMW dealership and of course they installed in an OEM starter. However, I’m currently having issues with starting my car right now since it’ll intermittently start. There’s been two separate occasions (not back to back) where I would try to turn on my car and it wouldn’t turn on the first attempt and would give me a starter/ignition light. Then on my 2nd attempt on (both seperate occasions) it would turn on with good crank.
Had this exact issue on my '19 Santa fe. Good alternator, replaced battery.
It will work for a few days after being boosted.
Dealership says it's the starter? It's only 86,000 km. Thats pretty terrible lifespan for a starter...
