OEM Volkswagen Engine radiator

I had a similar issue with my Mk4 VR6 Golf, coolant level would drop a tiny bit over time with no obvious sign of leakage..turned out to be a very small leak at the bottom corner seam of the radiator.

Pros: small leak at radiator
Cons: coolant level drop

I did an aftermarket 3 core aluminum civic radiator with electric fan on my '80 gas Dasher. Fabbed 2 brackets that would mount to factory locations in the engine bay.

Pros: mount to factory locations

Rating 4.0

Bought a nissens radiator and also an ebay fan shroud with dual 12 inch fans. The oem fan draws a lot of current snd it burned out the plug so I decided to change out. The shroud fits right over the core.

Pros: fits right over core
Cons: oem fan draws current

Worked well on my Valeo radiator, let it soak 10 min and a lot of very brown water came out. No leaks, cools better.

MISHIMOTO Engine radiator

I've had a ZJ fan clutch in my XJ for about 10 years and it's been fine without any modifications. Somehow I got away with it fitting in mine with a Proliance Heatbuster radiator and then again when I switched that radiator out for a Mishimoto.

Pros: fine without any modifications
Vehicle: Jeep Cherokee

MISHIMOTO Engine radiator

Wouldn’t recommend mishimoto, the warranty is nice but some of them tend to be leaky (haven’t just read that online, have seen multiple leak firsthand).

Pros: nice warranty
Cons: tend to be leaky
Vehicle: BMW

Koyo Engine radiator

The problem I'm running in to is that the upper hose connection is positioned differently on the Koyo N-Flow/dual pass(RH020539N) and it's really close to the Q45 throttle body and attached TPS. I've already cut off the unused socket on the TPS which gives me more room but still not a ton to work with.

Cons: tight hose connection, poor fitment
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: RH020539N
