In my 3.5 years I have replaced radiator (likely from an idiotic coolant flush, not a standard problem), IAC valve, blower moter resistor, PWS hoses, starter, and replaced rotors/calipers/pads.

8th gen civics will run forever. I replaced my radiator (2011) late last year for around the same price. The mechanic showed me the old radiator and it had several holes in it. Car is still running strong a year later.
The OEM radiator becomes brittle. I replaced the radiator in 2016 with a new Honda radiator. I’ve put 50,000 miles on it. So it lasted 8 years and 50,000 miles. Not toooo bad.
Second time this year i need to change the radiator or how it's called. It has been changed at least once per year + once the compressor.
I did an aftermarket 3 core aluminum civic radiator with electric fan on my '80 gas Dasher. Fabbed 2 brackets that would mount to factory locations in the engine bay.
