my 2005 4Runner Limited 4WD V8 that I bought one year ago with only 55k miles on it (well maintained time capsule), was just fine. Zero leaks from the radiator or anything. At 65k miles I went ahead and replaced the radiator with a Denso unit.
I figured going from a life in SoCal to southeast Texas summers would tax the radiator. Plus, 55k miles in 20 years, and now I’ll put about 20k miles a year on it, would likely make the original radiator go pop at the most inconvenient time, surely.
I got a Mishimoto with zero issues and fitment was spot on
And don't put the oem radiator in (it sucks). A mishimoto is 2/3 the price, will last longer (it's not made of plastic at the top -- that's why the oem ones fail) and it will actually keep your engine a little cooler.
I just got a new Denso radiator off of rock auto for a Tacoma. It didn't look much better than this. Had a hole in the box from shipping. Installed. Hasn't leaked at all.
This happened to my 4Runner recently. New denso radiator from Rockauto was $150.
I ended up replacing the radiator *and the hose*s myself with a denso radiator.
I just installed this Denso 7 years ago, won't pay for that again.
My mishimoto radiator sprung a leak after 1.5 years in my F150. So good luck.
Get a csf or koyorad. Mishimoto isn’t that great
I went through 4 mishitis in 2.5 years DO NOT each replacement cost $45 for “shipping.” I lost money and time dealing with recycled beer can BS.
