I went Koyo. For me even with a stock engine its worth it not to have a plastic seam to worry about.
Owner reviews for engine radiator
I've recently replaced my original oem one with Nissens, no issues so far, works perfectly. it was a super easy install and no issues so far.
Go for a Koyo and never look back.
I replaced mine 3 years ago with an NRF radiator and have never had a problem with it. The 924S has plenty adequate cooling for engine so long as the fans are turning fine.
I would bite the bullet and buy a Mishimoto all aluminum radiator that is literally plug and play, its way better than stock and there's no plastic to crack.
For a car with no turbo, the OEM TYC rad is perfect. It's what I use for a 100% track car with no ac. Fully sealed off all passages, forcing all air through the rad.
I have Mishimoto radiators in both my Miata and E36 and I haven’t had a single issue with either one.
Shortly after owning it I had to replace radiator, Dan shroud. Then my power steering rack and CV died. Just recently my master break cylinder just died
I despise those mishi radiators they take up too much space. Makes it hard to do anything on the front of the engine without ripping it out.
Be careful with the early MK8s. Mine is a 2022 and boy howdy she's got issues. Shift knob broke, steering wheel capacitor issues that disable travel assist repeatedly, backup camera failure and others say they have issues with the radiator failing to be fully seated on its clips and causing big problems.
