2016 ST1, 205k miles, green filter and hood struts. That’s it. Keep your oil changed, and there’s nothing wrong with a little “spirited” driving here and there, that’s what the car was built to do. They handle soo nice.
The only mods I ever did was a green air filter, symposer delete, and put in yellow led fog lights. It has only needed a few small things fixed, other than normal maintained stuff like fluid changes, brakes, tires, whatever.
Delete the sound symposer and get an aftermarket air filter. I’m partial to the Green filter. Have had it for 100k and clean it every third oil change.
Best accessory for my Ignis was K&N Air Filter, it really changed the sound of engine which I really liked. Maybe it was Placebo affect but I felt the change in character of the car.
Put a K&N cleanable air filter in long ago I’m now at around 80k mileage and most likely going to sell my 2016 wrx before 100k.
I’ve used KN filters in many cars. I had one in my WRX for 13 years. It’s a great filter but the filtration isn’t as good as normal filters. About every 15-20,000 miles you need to clean it, that means you won’t be able to drive your car for like 12 hours while your filter dries. Then you need to re-oil it and make sure you don’t use too much or it will fuck in your sensors.
I swapped the engine air filter for a new one. Could the Fram filter be more restrictive than the OEM one?
Do you know why you gain so much hp with a K&N filter? Cause they dont filter shit
I do not recommend the K&N if you ride in any dusty conditions. The primary reason the K&N flows more air is that it lets more stuff through it. Dust is the last thing you want going into your engine.
