OEM Hyundai Power windows

My 2006 Hyundai Elantra was still running well at 300,000km, I only traded up for new because I was too lazy to fix a power window that randomly failed in 2021.. I mean I replaced it.. but it still failed, fuses looked good, I was left to assume there was an issue the wiring harness.

Pros: high mileage, reliable
Cons: power window issues
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra
Mileage: 300000 km

OEM Hyundai Catalytic converter

I hit 213k miles on my 2013 accent today on my commute. Only thing I’ve had to replace other than routine maintenance was a catalytic converter in 2021.

Pros: high mileage, reliable
Cons: catalytic converter replacement
Vehicle: Hyundai Accent
Mileage: 213000 km

OEM Hyundai Windshield

Rating 5.0

I ended up going through a reputable local glass shop near me who was able to order the OEM glass from Hyundai (took several weeks) and cost about ~$1,600. They didn’t need to do any camera calibration since they didn’t have to move any camera modules. I haven’t had any problems since then. As for whether to get OEE vs OEM? Really up to you but I really preferred to have the OEM just for peace of mind, especially with a HUD and all.

Pros: peace of mind, no problems
Vehicle: Hyundai Sonata

OEM Hyundai Brake pads

I know this post is old but my 2019 Elantra SEL just hit 80k miles with no issues, and I bought it new. Normal oil changes, tires changed around 40-50k, and am doing a brake job myself this weekend (Most miles are highway miles, but I am still surprised how long the pads and rotors lasted).

Pros: long lasting pads, rotors
Cons: high beams don't work
Vehicle: Hyundai Elantra
Mileage: 128747 km

OEM Hyundai Spark plug

Rating 2.0

Most surprising thing about a Hyundai purchased in 2018 was that the spark plugs needed to be replaced at 30k miles, it is 30 years since i owned a car that required new plugs at less than 120k miles.

Cons: plugs needed replacement early
Vehicle: Hyundai
Mileage: 48280 km

OEM Hyundai Battery

Rating 2.0

I went to an official dealership and they told me the battery is faulty, and replacing it would cost around 185 euro, labor included. I checked online and it seemed like in the Netherlands a comparable battery costs between 85 and 120 euro.

Cons: expensive, high labor cost
Vehicle: Hyundai
