The selling dealer installed a gps tracker on the car, that is what was going off. The dealer literally ghosted me and would not speak to me, either in sales, finance or service. So I went to Hyundai corporate customer support, and explained the situation to them. After some time, the dealer agreed to have the gps tracking company come out and take the device off my car.
2013 Elantra with 145k miles. Replaced the Brake pads and a couple spark plugs. But it’s been an amazing purchase.
Through testing back and forth I think 30 is better overall and has reduced some “startup sounds” that I get
I purchased 10 pack OEM hyundai filter on amazon for $37. still have some left. 5 qt oil is $15 on sale at costco.
OEM oil filter is required in Hyundai or they will shut down and leave no codes in OBD2
With Full synthetic oil and a HYUNDAI OIL FILTER and crush washer.... $70-100.
I bought my venue last Saturday, a week later a tiny pebble hit it on the highway and later noticed a crack. After not too long and it being parked, the crack got noticably longer. I have never in my life had a windshield break like that, ever, let alone for it to just grow.
I noticed this summer when I go over bumps, the windshield makes a creaking noise. It's been getting worse and worse. A technician found that basically the bottom 2/3rds of the windshield isn't actually adhered down to the car anymore. It's being held down by the top 1/3 of adhesive and the molding. This is clearly a manufacturing defect since it's the OEM windshield with no cracks or chips.
I work as a service writer at Hyundai and Genesis. We charge 89.95 to replace the cabin filter. Do I agree with the price? Absolutely fucking not. I tell some ioniq 5 owners to just buy an after market cabin filter or a OEM one if they want and install it themselves.
My venue just took the first ever rock to the windshield ive noticed and it cracked about 5” and was 2ft my the morning. Never had one continue to break that far that fast. Probably shitty quality to keep the prices down on the vehicle
