Sachs Clutch disc

do NOT go with the Sachs sintered paddle disc kit. You don't need it, and it sucks ass to drive. The organic disc holds 400ft-lbs and is buttery smooth to drive. Fantastic option.

I needed something to hold over 400tq on my CUA swapped MK7 Golf, and thus the sintered disc is what I went with. I can live with it, but man do I miss the organic one.

Pros: organic disc buttery smooth, organic disc holds 400ft-lbs
Cons: sintered disc sucks to drive
Vehicle: Volkswagen Golf

Sachs clutch kit is the way to go. I've installed several in Z3's, and every one of them had a great feel. The kit comes with everything you'll need besides tools, although I'd replace the clutch fork pivot pin while in there.

Pros: great feel, complete kit
Vehicle: BMW Z3

I have Sachs SRE765 with light billet flywheel. With that you dont have to worry about anything even if decided to boost your car. And its very driveable as a daily toi

Sachs Clutch kit

Just stick to OEM. The OEM clutch is good for 500+ horsepower and you will be making no where near that. Its only $230 for the sachs clutch kit on FCP Euro

Pros: good for 500+ horsepower
Part number: K70206-01

Sachs Strut assembly

IMO, Sachs will restore the factory ride characteristics. I always recommend Sachs because they always seem to ride the closest to stock and have had good luck with their replacement parts.

Pros: restores factory ride, good reliability

I have the kit from darkside on my mk7 (organic plates, “HD DMF”), Malone stage 2. Have about 100k on it since install, no issues or slipping. Clutch pedal is definitely heavier than stock. If you get on it in low rpms, there is still some dmf shudder.

Pros: no issues, no slipping
Cons: heavier clutch pedal, DMF shudder
Mileage: 100000 km

Sachs Shock absorbers

  • Leaks:
Rating 3.0

I've had a number of BMWs and VWs with Sachs shocks leak after 40-50k miles. It's not like they totally fail and collapse, they just start having much slower rebound and faster compression.

Cons: slower rebound, faster compression
Vehicle: BMW
Mileage: 64373 km
