Some of the Revups are fine. I"ve owned my 2006 Z since 2011 and it doesn't burn oil.
I first got my 06’ 3 years ago, my first oil change I had 2 quarts of oil in there lol. Every oil change I’d have less than 3.5 quarts every time and I did oil changes every 2.5k miles (very early but oil was cheap so I didn’t mind) Mind you my first mod was an oil catch can. It did help a bit and also kept the manifold cleaner Aside from that I only had one code in less than 10k miles of driving (135k miles) , camshaft sensor
I’ve had my 06 touring for about 4 years now but only put about 15k on it, it’s now at 139k kms. It’s been alright maintenance wise, literally only had to change things that are common on the 03-05 models. Im incredibly vigilant with checking oil and do oil changes every 4K kms. No oil burning yet thankfully but I’m expecting it to change more into the future when the miles get higher.
In stock form in Titans and Armadas, they are competitively powerful but have a few issues. Exhaust manifolds crack and leak and aren’t cheap. The starter motor is mounted in the Vee. That might help packaging but it makes servicing them a pain. Mine died and you just can’t just hit it with a hammer to get it off the dead spot.
I have a 2020 Rogue SV and it’s pushing 98000. Great car in the Vermont winters , but I’m on my 3rd set of breaks.
Auto trans are almost never worth putting work into and better off replacing imo.
You've got a cvt trans and they're only rated for like 150k. your cvt is running on it last legs.
I insisted on OEM to prevent any aftermarket issues. No problem with installation, but i got in it the next day and where the HUD projects onto the windshield, the image had a ripple that was extremely annoying. Finally after months of complaining, they swapped it out for another OEM. This one was worse. Not only are there ripples in the same area, the lamination looks like a shoddy tint job. Corporate finally agreed to replace again. Waiting on the dealer to set up a time. This has been going on since Nov. of last year.
all nissan cvt tranny cars should be gotten rid of fast. 135000 miles is a record for that expensive unit.
