Not only does it look whack I bet the reflection on the windshield is diabolical

I insisted on OEM to prevent any aftermarket issues. No problem with installation, but i got in it the next day and where the HUD projects onto the windshield, the image had a ripple that was extremely annoying. Finally after months of complaining, they swapped it out for another OEM. This one was worse. Not only are there ripples in the same area, the lamination looks like a shoddy tint job. Corporate finally agreed to replace again. Waiting on the dealer to set up a time. This has been going on since Nov. of last year.
Once it came in, it was replaced and calibrated perfectly within an hour. HUD works perfectly, all cameras still in sync and auto wipers are functional as they were.
I went 12 months with no new windshield. Then I’ve had 2 in 3 months. It’s luck of the draw and the angle of the windshield.
Happened out of the blue. Made vision blurry, you can see how wavy it is in the photos. Nissan is replacing the windshield for us under warranty.
I'm renting an Altima, and the window cracked just sitting in the driveway. It started from the edge of the window next to the VIN. It has 9750 miles and I saw another post where the windshield broke itself at 9450 miles and another around 10k; it seems pretty sketchy that they so many break around the same mileage. The rental car company is trying to get my insurance to pay, but I feel like this is a factory defect that should be covered by the bumper-to-bumper.
I just rented an Altima that had something fall onto the windshield while I was leaving the parking garage to go to work yesterday. When it was time to drive home from work, it had turned into a crack over a foot long! She said the newer ones must use a fragile glass.
nissan has some of the weakest windshield every altima I had cracked the windshield
Nissan still does it. I found it distracting when I borrowed by Father's '14 Altima
