I have them on my MK6 Jetta and they are the best tires I’ve ever had in the rain. NJ winters are no problem for them either. Good luck ????

Pros: best in rain, good in NJ winters

I’ve exclusively run PS A/S4 on basically all my most recent cars — it’s truly a do it all tire for someone who needs to be able to get somewhere in freezing temperatures but has another car that can do winter duty a bit better. Never thought they were noisy on either my CLK550, BRZ, WRX, CTR, SS 1LE, and now ITS.

Pros: do it all tire, not noisy

I had the AS3 on my old Accord Sport. Outside of grip, I didn't really care for them (loud, rough, but it was on an already sort of loud Honda), and the OG DWS on my old Si. Those were OK.

Pros: good grip
Cons: loud, rough

I had PS AS3+ on a Focus, do not recommend. Light snow traction was horrible. I had DWS06+ on my 2014 TDI and now also on my 2016 GLI. Do not recommend. Heavy spots in tires. Rotate on time or suffer cupping and road noise like no tomorrow. I had PS AS4 on my TDI after the Conti's and have nothing but praise for them. Quiet, great wet traction, and stuck like velcro in the dry.

Pros: quiet, great wet traction, stuck in dry

I have had the Michelins on the E46 for the past year and have no complaints. They're fairly quiet and grip really well in whatever I've thrown at it so far. Prior to that it was yeeeeeears with the same Conti DWS06. The only thing I can say is that with only a few thousand miles on the Continentals, my mechanic discovered they were de-laminating. The inner sidewall of the driver's rear tire had about a 12" long, 1/2" wide window straight to the cords. I wasn't happy when I saw that, so I switched to Michelin. There was A LOT of tread left, so I was pretty disappointed.

Pros: fairly quiet, good grip

Had some S3 Evo, for 65000kms (2 sets) and really happy about them ! Very quiet (nothing to compare with the stock Michelin), very good handling on dry and wet roads.

Pros: very quiet, good handling
Mileage: 65000 km

40k+ miles on the evo’s. They have been great, and they were a few decibels quieter than the factory Michelins.

Pros: quieter than Michelins, great
Mileage: 64373 km

If road noise is a concern, I would avoid Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons. I haven't driven the Hankook's but the PS4AS were noticeably louder than the MXM4 and louder than the Pilot Sport 4 Summer tires I currently have now (with the foam).

Cons: noticeably louder than MXM4

Previously I had Michelin Defender xlt. While I would prefer a more pavement oriented tire the Coopers where the only load range E tires I could get on a 3 day turnaround when I needed them.

I liked the Michelins but the xl load rating was just too squirmy while towing a 7000lb trailer.

Pros: liked the Michelins
Cons: too squirmy towing
