The only real issue I’ve had is a failed cat converter at about 1000 miles, must have just been a bad one from the factory. Fully covered under warranty anyway.

FWIW - I daily my v8 R and it’s awesome. Mine is still under original warranty, it did have the cat fail which was covered under warranty and would have been pricey otherwise.
I’ve owned a iPace for just over 2 years now, we did have a big battery job done under warranty at around 35k miles, it took them a while to get the parts, but when it was done our range shot up to a steady 240 miles, very nice.
I had a new Jaguar, first service, drove about 40kms, hit a small bump and the engine light came on within 100 metres. Car stopped...popped the bonnet and first thing I noticed was this huge 40 cm screw driver hanging just behind the radiator...I managed to get free brake pads for the Jaguar when needed.
I have an XE200 no major issues apart from the shock absorbers which were fairly pricey, but it’s an 8 year old car. I really like it and I’m almost certain my next car will be a Jag despite not really having any brand loyalty.
I had a 2019 from october '24 till late november '25, in that just over a year it was in at the dealership twice for repairs that if it hadnt come with a years warranty from the JLR dealer I bought it from it would have cost me thousands, first it was the right radiator with a leak which needed replacing then an issue with the cat.
I have a 2022 ipace, bought it a year ago with 23k miles. As others said, it is expensive to repair beyond warranty. I have had issues with air suspension that came with the vehicle from previous owners and we're not fixed by the dealership even though it is a certified pre-owned vehicle. So they replaced air pump for free when I found out the issue.
A 2004 Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas. The sunroof broke and the air suspension was dodgy and never worked right even after full strut and compressor replacements (and was ultimately converted to coilovers). Oh, and a wheel fell off while driving because the studs were damaged.
My 2011 Jaguar XF. V8, RWD. loved that car, but looking at a 3rd water pump replacement sealed the deal for me. Love lost
The father in law had one & also had battery issues.
