i bought the 4000 package for my 2015 years ago
my ac compressor went out -3500 service
window regulator - 600
back up camera -400
that was all covered
The DRL on my passenger headlight partially died (one of the vertical strips on the outside of the lamp stopped working) about a month ago. Took it to the dealer and they had a new headlight installed within the week under bumper to bumper.
First gen Expedition- I'm not a Ford fan, but some of those old Expeditions were amazing. Definitely seem to be hit or miss, either bulletproof or a nightmare with no in between. My father had a 98 that he bought new and scrapped in 2019 with just shy of 500k miles, absolutely beat the living shit out of that truck and it just wouldn’t die, only ever needed an alternator, 2 shifter cables, a brake hose and 2 ignition coils.
-Valve cover gasket leaks - difficult access to rear bolts
-Wiper motor shorting out due to water damage to internal electronics (replace motor, and seal wiper cowl with silicone)
-Cabin air blows out of random vents, all vents, or only one vent (bad O-rings on internal solenoids in EATC unit)
-Cracked coolant crossover on intake manifold (pre-2003 vehicles)
-peeling clear/paint on 90’s - 00’s models
-leaking oil filter adapter gasket
just had to get the battery replaced on our 24 bronco, same thing kept going into battery saver
Just cheap shitty plastic my guy
Those starters fucking suck they get so much corrosion around those terminals when you go to break the nut lose it'll snap the plastic right off its a shitty design
It is obviously made out pot metal, so yeah super cheap.
the starter actually failed at 35,000km
