I got a cheapo Benson installed by my local independent windshield shop for like $280 on my ‘22 OBW, without calibration, and it’s been perfectly fine for months now.

Literally just got this today after getting my windshield replaced two days ago because of a chip in my 2021 forester. The insurance covered it with $0 deductible, and the local shop used a Chinese laminated benson windshield, but whatever. It was free
They installed a Benson windshield which is a cheaper Chinese one but it couldn\u2019t be much worse than the original Subaru one \ud83e\udd37\u200d\u2642\ufe0f. Had a couple pebbles hit it already and no issues.
I got a 10 times cheaper windshield than the original one (saint-gobain went scratched in a year, “new pedestrian-safe glass technology”, Chinese is still alive after 2 years).
