I recently changed wheels and tires on my jetta and I really enjoy the new look as well as the grip from the new tires. I went with a set of hankook v2 and they feel pretty solid so far.

The two timing belts I've done the water pump have been that design.

For my son's new 2015 Jetta SE, he ordered the following from Tirerack for this winter, and he is loving them: 4 x 195/65R15 MICHELIN X-ICE XI3

I got a set of Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80 P195/65/r15 tires from costco and I am very happy with them.

I bought and installed them many years ago while I was living in Germany. The lights are in excellent condition with no damage, but the lenses are cloudy from years of use. They have never been sanded, so a 3M kit could be used to clean them up. The auto leveling functioned properly.

I replaced it with a Duralast Gold. After replacing the issue still existed so I replaced the alternator with an OEM Bosch remanufactured unit.

I personally dislike HUCO brand which it had, I replaced mine with a BERU coil, still going strong since '97.

I want to clean my throttle body today. BUT how imperative is it that you re adapt the throttle body with vagcom. because i have read that it will re adapt itself. My throttle body inside has a nice black ring so i think its time to do this.

My car needs brakes really bad. I had the Front pads replaced at about 60k miles, and it cost me $400 (From a local shop, parts had to be ordered direct from VW). The rears needed replaced then, but I couldn't afford it and just now have the extra cash to do them and figure I will do all 4 brakes at the same time. Also decided to buy parts online because it seems to be MUCH cheaper (Only place I can find local stocking the correct parts is VW, and they are pretty pricey of course). I figured Amazon would be the first place to look (Because I shop there for everything, and have Prime so I get free shipping on everything). The problem is, I cannot find rear brake pads at a similar price, anywhere I look. I figured Power Stop would have a similar pair for the back, but I cannot find them on Amazon (They have such a crappy search function for auto parts). I have tried searching various other sites that carry the above linked pads (Summit, Jegs, THmotorsports) but all of them either don't show rear pads, or their site doesn't search properly. I even tried the Power Stop website to find a parts number but when you 'select your car' the only VW option is Passat. It's driving me crazy. Anyone have an idea of either the parts number for the rear power stop brakes, OR a link to some good similarly priced rears (or front and rears)??? Dad is in the process of changing the oil in my car and told me my oil filter looks just like yours. Got me thinking and I realized used a Mobil 1 filter this time. An my car only had 4k on that filter. Stay away from that filter people!
