My Mk2 VR had the full Corrado G60 front and rears. I used Zimmermann stock replacement rotors and Hawk HP Plus pads. They did an excellent job.

For future reference I use Mintex pad all round (occasionally Pagid) Cross reference Front Pads MDB 2601 Rears MDC 1924 Front 365mm Floating Discs VW PATTERN PART ONLY!

I got an OEM (Bosch) new replacement 120A alternator from German Auto Parts. It came with the pulley installed.

I have an 03 AWP GTI 1.8t. My clutch was dying on me recently and I did some research. I went with Sachs VR6 Single-mass lightweight 14lbs flywheel clutch kit. The clutch feels a bit different for sure, in my opinion. This is just what I have experienced and may not be the same across the board. On the highway in 5th gear, when I hit around 3k RPM's, I get a drone while accelerating and sometimes while coasting. It's sort of a low, pulsing sound. It goes away as soon as I disengage the clutch and coast though. Also, at first, the clutch was super \"grabby.\" Like... more sensitive than my stock clutch. I've finally gotten used to it (2 months later).

I only use Mann oil filters.

Only Bosch filter. Never get water in my filter, but always buy fresh fuel from truckstop that has a lot of traffic.

Good news: the breaks/tires worked GREAT for stopping quickly for an accident in front of me.

I thought the Pirellis were smoother and quieter than the Dunlops (all new cars here), but now that I am reading about how bad they become, maybe I am better off with the Dunlops

Not worth the effort IMO. I had them on my GLI and unless you're going through daily snow/ice/salt they're useless. Also, you burn through windshield washer fluid rapidly.
