Denso Alternator

My ‘09 highlander needed one about a year ago around 150k and my local shop put in a reman Denso for way less than a new Denso. Good warranty on it, too.

Pros: good warranty, lower cost
Vehicle: Toyota Highlander
Mileage: 150000 km

BFG KO2s were OEM and I replaced with another set. UE came with 33"KO2s (not mudders) infused with some kind of black magic that allows them to be great off road and quiet, smooth high grip on paved roads - mine lasted more the 70k miles.

Pros: great off road, smooth grip
Cons: none
Vehicle: Toyota FJ Cruiser
Mileage: 112654 km

Pilkington Windshield

Rating 5.0

It varies/depends. There are some cheap replacement windshields out there, but in my case, I found one who uses Pilkington glass for my Camry (the OEM supplier), came in at less than half the dealer’s quote, and looks identical to the glass that was on before.

Pros: looks identical to OEM
Cons: cheap replacement windshields
Vehicle: Toyota Camry

Only thing I've added is a dash cam and all-weather mats. 26k miles with the fuel sender recall completed and a dead battery that is a known issue otherwise no issues.

Pros: 0% financing, quick around town
Cons: dead battery issue
Vehicle: Toyota
Mileage: 26000 km

Mobil Engine oil

Ran Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy for a while and it was fine, but lately I've switched over to the Toyota branded. It's more expensive, but I only change my oil once a year because I don't drive it much, and I like the higher molybdenum content in the Toyota stuff.

Pros: higher molybdenum content
Cons: more expensive
Vehicle: Toyota

OEM Toyota Engine oil

I found a dealership that sells the Toyota oem at 5.90 a quart so that’s what I use. It’s made by Mobil 1 but has certain additives added specifically for Toyota specifications that regular Mobil 1 doesn’t have. Technically it’s what the 4Runner will run best with.

Pros: best for 4Runner

OEM Toyota Windshield

Safelite did my front and back glass on my 2nd gen thru my insurance . I requested OE glass for both. They had a Toyota windshield in stock, but the sliding rear glass was 30-45 days out of stock, so I went aftermarket.

Pros: Toyota windshield in stock
Cons: aftermarket rear glass subpar
Vehicle: Toyota

OEM Toyota Head gasket

I have a 2010 with 218k miles loses zero oil but I lose coolant think I have a head issue. But I've put about 20k on the car just topping off coolant once a week. I would say the head gasket issue is pretty high I've never had a car with a bad head until now.

Pros: loses zero oil
Cons: loses coolant, head issue
Vehicle: Toyota Prius
Mileage: 218000 km
