I got nearly 70K miles out of my CC2's. That's pretty economical. I did go with Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2's this time just because I stacked incentives (USAA = 25% off, Goodyear credit card offered $200 rebate). They were really good in this recent NY storm.

The CV joint is probably the cause. I replaced both pairs in my 2012 Forester, and after four years, the left side started clicking again.
Not even 6 months into it the head gasket exploded and the engine was completely fucked.
The flywheel is stupid light, so it spins up incredible quick but also slows down the same, making rev matching and heel toe much more likely to go past red line and bend valves not to mention a very uncivilized engagement if not nearly perfect.
Stock tires on my CrossTrek were Ziex Falkens and were done by 30k. But stock tires are crap for the most part
