MICHELIN Tires

I have used Michelin Primacy on other Subarus I have had. They have a Michelin Primacy SUV I see online.

The Michelins have always been way quieter in terms of road noise.

Pros: way quieter
Vehicle: Subaru

Goodyear Tires

I got nearly 70K miles out of my CC2's. That's pretty economical. I did go with Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2's this time just because I stacked incentives (USAA = 25% off, Goodyear credit card offered $200 rebate). They were really good in this recent NY storm.

Pros: really good
Mileage: 112654 km

OEM Subaru CV joint

The CV joint is probably the cause. I replaced both pairs in my 2012 Forester, and after four years, the left side started clicking again.

Cons: left side started clicking
Vehicle: Subaru Forester

OEM Subaru Flywheel
mbb2967
  • Shift smoothness:
Rating 2.0

The flywheel is stupid light, so it spins up incredible quick but also slows down the same, making rev matching and heel toe much more likely to go past red line and bend valves not to mention a very uncivilized engagement if not nearly perfect.

Pros: spins up quick
Cons: stupid light, uncivilized engagement, easy to over-rev
Vehicle: Subaru BRZ

Falken Tires

Stock tires on my CrossTrek were Ziex Falkens and were done by 30k. But stock tires are crap for the most part

Cons: short lifespan, poor quality
Vehicle: Subaru
Mileage: 48280 km
