But, once you take them apart, lube the snot out of the handbrake lever, and reseal the caliper, they work like magic.
Saab parts reviews
Fitted newly renovated calipers, fresh discs and pads to one of my old 99s, and holy sh*t did it brake good. Also the handbrake on these things are phenomenal when correctly adjusted.
I would order Shell Helix for £20/4L online instead.
Personally i never run ”GM” oil in my 95s anymore. I usually run Castrol edge 0-40
My Saab (2003 9-5 Arc Wagon 3.0 turbo) has a sticker that says Mobil 1
Penzoil the best!
By far, the best rotors I got on mine are Pilenga's. They do not warp, nor spot (when left for a long time outside in winter) and they wear evenly.
Centric rotors and Powerstop brake pads, I have the Z23s. They stop well and very little dust.
I installed bilstein shocks all around, but noticed no noticeable difference from original stock.
9-3’s eat coils; it’s a forever problem on my 9-3 that it seems like every 30k miles I’m spending $200 on new coil packs. It’s essentially routine maintenance. I ordered Bosch OEM coil packs off RockAuto and just now realized they have a warranty. I submitted a warranty claim and they sent me out brand new units. Wish I would have known this because it would have saved me lots of money.
