I got my TYC off RockAuto and been rocking it for 20k miles with no issues
Just had exactly the same problem on my '09, needs a starter. Well more accurately the solenoid that pushes and pulls the starter teeth onto the flywheel is underperforming, and when cold it doesn't get off the flywheel fast enough to keep from barking the starter motor against the faster spinning flywheel.
I bought a Bosch Reman for about $260 with a 5 year warranty, went in with a moderate amount of persuasion. The oil filter, dipstick, oil pressure sensor have to come out to do it. You being from Chicago might have to fight to get the dipstick holder out without breaking it.
This is good to hear. While anything will be better than my 11 year old hazy Honda Fit headlights, the brighter LED’s will really help on our dark, rural, hilly roads.
From my experience with replacing Honda alternators, I always go OEM.
2018 Honda Fit EX. Using 0W16 Amsoil, oil filter my car likes is WIX 57356XP Oil Filter. Transmission fluid I use Amsoil CVT. All working fine. Been using it for like almost 2 years.
Wix oil filter and crush washers from Amazon. Though I have gotten crush washers from the dealer. Napa Gold oil filters are Wix, which are arguably among the best oil filters, so I've gotten those oil filters too.
Oil from Walmart. Any 0W-20 synthetic is fine, even the Supertech, though I've used Mobil One. I need a long funnel in my 2nd generation Fit because of where the oil cap is.
The stock battery in my 2016 Honda died after four years.
I had koni yellows on my CRX. Replaced them with coilovers and regretted it.
I’m looking at you all you cheap fucking Honda timing belts. Gates/oem or go fuck your mother.
