My 06 2.4 accord is at 285k right now on original chain, like others have said as long as you stay on top of your maintenance you should be fine
Honda parts reviews
I put 251,000 km on my '07 Accord I4/5MT and I was on the factory timing chain (and clutch too).
Brand is Pilkington (OEM) without the Honda logo. Mine doesn't have any sensors on the windshield (LDW).
Amsoil. My s2k burned just about every oil when I beat on it until I started using Amsoil.
Lol, when you get Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires and don’t even know it XD
Buy a Denso or OEM Honda alternator if you want to do the job once. The cheap Chinese-made brands and auto-parts store brands will die within a year or two. Ask me how I know!
175k on my Civic that's first year Civic to have one. Admittedly it was a slight concern when I bought the car. I've really enjoyed the transmission.
Before I boosted mine, I would do 5K all the time. Now it's close to 4k, anything over that and feels like shit driving it.
There is a fault with these engines! The belt starts to break up prematurely, clogging up the oil galleries inside the engine! First sign of this starting to happen is your turbo starts to get louder, then siezes. Happened mine just outside of warranty (42k miles). Luckily honda footed the bill and replaced the engine.
I drove my 2003 Honda CRV with a blown head gasket for over 6 months. Drove it everywhere knowing it was on its last leg. The engine would go into “safe” mode often to protect the engine. That means i can’t accelerate past 60mph. Had to change the spark plugs once a month. Had to add oil and coolant every single time i drove it. Oil showed up in the radiator AND over filling the over flow. Finally gave out three weeks ago.
