I had to change tyres for my 5 series last month. I went with Dunlop (not runflat) and can feel a marked improvement in the ride quality over the run flats.

Use mann Mahle or hengst filters.
I run Conti ECS, they are a performance street tire. It's what BMW M cars come with.
If you’re tuned on stock turbos, OEM or NGK 97968s.
Im tuned and on an E85 mix but using 1 step colder NGK's (#ILZKBR7B8DG) gapped to about 0.022...needed these before I even went MHD though. Once I did most of my maintenance, the car required this for proper spark. Night and day of a difference.
I had similar problems with mine until I tried stock F80 M3 plugs. Mfg #12120039634KT1. Mine was 07 N54 FBO.
When I got my car, it would roll on hills with the parking brake pulled all the way up. After the adjustment procedure and replacing the rotors, it works properly.
Other than needing some beam adjustment out of the box and not quite as good of fit & finish vs oem, they seem decent for the price.
I have just experienced the exact same issue with my BMW i3 air conditioning system, except .... the local dealer called and said the repair job would cost $17,000. I took it in to the dealer because the air didn't seem to be cooling normally. The dealer called back and said there were valves that needed replacing and the cost of the repair would be $1400. The valves were not in stock so they were ordered and after they arrived, the repair started. That's when the dealer said there were apparently metal shavings in the system and, while the compressor did not show any faults during testing, the entire AC system would have to be replaced. So now my 2015 i3, which cost $18,000 used in 2017 with 10K miles on it, has been totaled by a faulty AC system. Time to drive with the windows down and flap my arms.
I'm not happy with HPS 5.0 on my M3- I'm probably going to switch back to "regular" Hawk HPS, as they have worked for me on quite a few cars.
