second winter with my mk8 as well over on the east coast. the frequent issue I run into is my front assist being unavailable from snow / ice. Otherwise I find it very smooth in the winter, I almost prefer winter driving as opposed to spring-fall. my car drives better on my 17" winters than my 19" oem wheels.

Pros: very smooth in winter
Cons: front assist unavailable

OEM Volkswagen Tires

I bought a MK3 Jetta 2.0 gas just to get me through for a couple months after I crashed my 4Runner. It was one of my favorite cars. Decent power, handled great. Coldest a/c and hottest heat of any car I have ever owned. I put a good set of snow tires on it and it would go anywhere.

Pros: decent power, handled great

OEM Porsche Tires

Lol as someone who comes from a Porsche owning family, the 265 tires up front and 295 in the back will automatically bankrupt you. Nothing like looking for a winter set of tires and wheels knowing you have to get Audi spec 5x112 wheels with tires wider than dump trucks that are triple the cost of 17 inch 225 tires with half the life.

Cons: expensive tire replacement
Vehicle: Porsche

OEM Porsche Tires

Almost did the same thing with my 992.2 GTS with the same tires. I was doing 10kph UNDER the speed limit since I was all over the fucking place. Horrible tire for the rain.

Cons: horrible for rain
Vehicle: Porsche
