Tires Nexen or BFGoodrich

Nexen Tires

I have other winter tires but THESEEEEEEEEEEEEEE - Day and night difference for specially Win-guards sports 2. Last winter, i was beating everyone on the highway with good amount of snow falling. Even and were slowing down in Boston highway 1-93 as I was on my way to Montreal

Pros: day and night difference
Cons: a bit noisy

From our personal experience and also clients’ feedback we have had much better performance with the Sport R compared to the RT660. Autocross conditions will have the Sport R need a little more warmup, however it does not fall off as much as the RT660 (especially after heat cycles) and yes longevity is much longer on the Sport R. The RT660 also has a tread splicing issue that we really don’t like to see in a performance tire.

Pros: better performance, longer longevity
Cons: needs more warmup

BFGoodrich Tires

I would suggest bf Goodrich all terrains. Nice looking, quiet, pretty decent in winter and different weight ratings. I run them with the "E" rating and heavier weight capacity and a bit tougher tire.

Pros: nice looking, quiet

I ran the Sport R on my ES MR2 after V730. The wear was better, better feel all around and probably slightly faster

Pros: better wear, better feel

Had the Goodyears on the truck for 4 years when they wore out @40k I replaced them with BFG ATKO2. Now have 72k on the odo and they are still awesome. Probably have another 2 or 3 years on them.

Pros: still awesome
Cons: wore out @40k
Mileage: 64374 km

At the moment we have K02's on our van year round and G015's as winter tires for the Touareg. Both do their job in snow and the occasional mud at the trail head. At the time I got the K02's because they look more bad ass. They are overkill for me and are loud and getting louder as they wear.

Pros: good in snow, look bad ass
Cons: loud, getting louder

Nexen Tires

I started sliding sideways when taking off from the lights in the rain. The very next opportunity I had Pilot Sport 4 on and never looked back.

Pros: better grip
Cons: sliding sideways
