Tires MICHELIN or YOKOHAMA

MICHELIN Tires

Just replaced the old ones on my mk7 with the same, I’ve always preferred Michelin Pilot Sport, old ones were 3’s new ones 4’s, bit different tread design but still a quiet highway cruise.

Pros: quiet highway cruise
Vehicle: Volkswagen

MICHELIN Tires

Just upgraded to some better tires (Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 225 /40 R18 92Y XL BSW). Coming from some Walmart achilles tires.

These tires are really grippy I can launch the car without any spin. Man this thing pulls and I drastically improved my 0-60.

Pros: really grippy, improved launch

Been running yokohama advan sports on my GTI for 3 years and they are solid for the money. They aren't as good as my Michelins but for daily driving you would never know. If you drive hard they will talk and are reliable about the break away point and don't do anything you don't expect which is what I want just can't cut a corner quite as good as my Mich on my R32.

Pros: solid for the money
Cons: not as good
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I went with the Michelin Defenders 2 and am so glad I made this decision. Nice smooth quiet ride. Handles bumps and potholes like a champ. Braking is better than stock Toyos.

Pros: smooth quiet ride

MICHELIN Tires

Ich bin ganz zufrieden mit den Crossclimate. Die erkaufen sich ihre lange Haltbarkeit und gute Performance bei Trockenheit aber mit Schwächen bei Nässe.

Pros: lange Haltbarkeit, gute Performance
Cons: Schwächen bei Nässe

2019 stock tires sounded and handled great but were soft and didn't last long. I was buying new before 35K.

Pros: sounded and handled great

I felt that the tires were too hard and were easy to make noise with and kind of slide. I got tired of it and put on some temp tires until the tread wore out.

Cons: too hard, easy slide
