I had stock pirellis on my S4 (yeah I realize this is a Porsche sub). Switched to Michelin PS4s and never went back. Very noticeable difference in quality, grip, performance, quietness, and smoothness. They lasted a bit longer than the Pirellis too.
4S’s were game changing.
Depends on what you want and what you value, but I put Michelin’s on all of my cars. The ride is better, the handling is better, and they typically wear better.
I’m not sure if they make them in the correct size for the car but the oem star marked ps4s made for bmw are more aggressive and contain a rubber compound more similar to the cup 2s. Tyre reviews compared the regular ps4s to the star marked and raved about them compared to the regular tires.
Toyo Tires Open Country A50 OEM on my 25 CX-70. 275/45/21s. I am extremely happy with these tires. Quite for a 21 inch wheel, still at 9/32 front and near that at the rear with 7,500 mi I'm very smooth on the highway between 60 and 80.
I have Micheline P4Ss on my 991.1 Carrera S and F90 M5 Competition and can without reservation they are better than the Pirellis they came with.
Get whatever the newest N-spec Michelin is available in your sizes/for your vehicle. Not a fan of the OEM Pirellis on the 991s and Michelin is much better all around.
I got just over 3 yrs, 32k miles on the Dunlop. Replaced with Michelin Primacy. I’m happy w them and the road noise is so much quieter.
I had this Michelin PS4 too. After 11 tkm they looked like the tires from OP.
It was a Subaru wrx sti. And i live in Germany…
Surtout avec la tendance des Michelins à craqueler au bout de 4-5 ans.
