Tires MICHELIN or OEM Chevrolet

MICHELIN Tires

Michelin CrossClimate2 is the best option for you. The CrossClimate2 wins every comparison test it's in, and is an awesome tire.

Pros: awesome tire, wins tests

I recently replaced the OEM tires on my 2019. Plenty of tread left but was seeing some cracks. They had poor traction when it got wet, abysmal traction in the snow. Went with the Michelin Cross Climate 2. HUGE improvement. It's the family vehicle so I was willing to spend a bit more. Tires are worth it.

Pros: HUGE improvement, good traction
Cons: poor wet traction, abysmal snow traction

My new 2024 Tiguan SEL had a vibration. The Pirelli tires on it would not come into spec on the road force balance machine. I put on Michelins and no more vibration.

Pros: no more vibration
Cons: would not come into spec

Michelin CC2 is a great long lasting tire that is great in just about every condition except very deep snow. It was a big upgrade from the General RT43's we had previously had on our '13 OB. We have General 365AW on our '23 which are not quite as good in the rain, but are a lot cheaper.

Pros: great long lasting tire
Cons: not good in deep snow

This is a common question in the sub and you’ll generally hear a lot of recommendations for newer all weather tires such as Michelin CrossClimate 2 or Bridgestone Weatherpeak (installed on mine). These are premium all weather on road tires that’ll do pretty well in light/moderate snow and very good touring performance.

Pros: very good touring performance

The E rated tire will ride ever so slightly harder, but the drastically increased life will make up for that.

Pros: increased tire life
Cons: harder ride
Mileage: 70000 km

You can get Michelins without the sound deadening foam that are a bit cheaper, but I've heard mixed things about how much louder that makes the cabin

Pros: bit cheaper
Cons: louder cabin

1. Harsh ride- you feel every little bump. 2. Mediocre performance. 3. Pricey. I just swapped these tires out for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on my Beamer. Best investment I made so far this year. No regrets.

Cons: harsh ride, pricey
Vehicle: BMW
