I have the same type of tires on my 16'. They have been so much better than stock Firestones
I just want to add that through recent personal experience the firehawk indy500 are absolutely fantastic for the money. They look cool, perform well in wet, have fantastic dry grip and road feel and don’t “crash” over certain road imperfections or hum like your wheel bearings are made of wood on the highway. Highly recommend.
I have them and I like them. Sticky for sure, help make corners fun. I wouldn’t say they’re quiet but not super loud either. I have no reason not to recommend them.
I was going to need tires, and saw many positive reviews of the Firestone Firehawk Indy500, which were significantly cheaper than the Michelin Pilot Sports like I had on my old E36 M3.
Last winter I bought then (then brandnew) Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady tires. They are All-seasons, but have the snowflake on the mountain symbol. They did great in the Mid-Atlantic where we don't get more than 2 days of actual snow but a lot of cold rain, occasional sleet and slush. They did come in handy when we visited the in-laws in Erie PA while they got their 100" of snow at Christmas time.
I have 225s (Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice WRT) and one of mine tipped over while changing tires and it got a scuff on it. Would have been worse with 205s.
My trailer had some junk "D" load rated tires that I replaced with "E" load rated Goodyear's and I saw improvement in handling and fuel economy.
The tires were solid. Seemed to have traction in the snow, but were pretty slippery on the dry salted roads. Ride quality/road noise isn't bad at all, even at high(er than i should've been going) speeds.
Had wranglers on my liberty, as well as my ram 1500
They were fine tires in all conditions. We have 6 months of winter here, and they were just fine in snow and ice.
They weren't particularly awesome in mud, but not awful
I've run the PSS and I have the 500's on my 135 as throwaway summers. They're soft and comfortable and grip OK... but they're numb and greasy at the same time. Very Meh tire.
