Tires Falken or BRIDGESTONE

Falken Tires

Since the last road rally I've changed out the OEM Firestones for OEM sized Wildpeaks. With the OEM tires I basically had to do the whole event in 4Hi. I've got so much more traction now that I was able to do all of yesterdays event in 2WD with Trac Off.

Pros: more traction

I tried the Pirellis on Saturday and was sliding around a bit. Used the Falkens on Sunday and once I got the pressures right, I had good grip with no understeer or oversteer.

Pros: good grip, no oversteer
Cons: need pressure adjustment

I was always a Michelin buyer because they were consistently quiet and long lasting offering excellent all around performance. 20,000 mikes ago I replaced the OEM tires on my Mk7 Jetta R-Line with the Turanza Quiettrack and am pleased without any regrets.

Pros: genuinely quiet, no wear
Mileage: 32186 km

Costco put on a set this (2021) spring but it is too soon to know much. They ride quiet and straight (we also did an alignment). Note: to keep the Costco warranty, you must go back within a week or so to have them re-torque the nuts.

Pros: ride quiet and straight

I have a 2017 and have used Ecopia tires from day one. Original tires lasted me two years and over 60,000 miles. The current set has 40,000 and still going very strong. I average 50 mpg so they seem to be working well in all facets of their job.

Pros: long lasting, working well
Mileage: 60000 km

Put 215/65/16 Wildpeak Trails on my 2007 x2.5 last week and have similar sentiments as you. Big slower off the line and a bit stiffer but overall really happy so far. Got to hit a long gravel road out hiking this past weekend and the ride felt great. My old michellins would have me fishtailing on a corner over 50km/h, was able to take same corners at 80km/h with confidence.

Pros: ride felt great
Cons: slower off the line

I’ve got Wildpeak AT trails on my lifted bugeye and I love them! I got them back in November and took them in snow, mud, rocks, gravel, and pavement and was so impressed. They gripped so well I was able to pull my friend’s 4Runner out of a snowy ditch in my little NA Impreza! I cannot recommend these tires enough! They’re also pretty quiet on the road and are totally comfortable to daily on pavement.

Pros: gripped very well
Cons: none

I have the Wildpeaks and love them cause they are pretty damn great for just about any occasion or scenario. Between Subaru's symmetrical AWD and the Wildpeaks, it Handled it pretty damn well. I was super impressed with how well my car handled it.

Pros: great for any scenario

BRIDGESTONE Tires

It's the stock tire on my Prius. I'd never put it on my other cars by choice, but it seems to suit the Prius just fine. Never had any issues with tracking. Of course the steering feel is terrible, but that's the story with the entire car.

Pros: suits the Prius
Cons: terrible steering feel

BRIDGESTONE Tires

My Civic Hybrid has Bridgestone Ecopias. Grip is pretty bad, but they are very predictable, in that they kind of start to warn you when they are losing grip, then gradually go from having grip to not having grip. Very smooth transition and very easy to correct any slides. Have noticed they appear to be wearing quite quickly as well.

Pros: predictable, smooth transition
Cons: bad grip, wear quickly
Vehicle: Honda Civic
