Today I ordered from VW TPS : - Quantum 5w 40 FS Oil & Filter - Oil Dipstick Tube - Fuel Filter - Pollen Filter - Brake Booster Pipe (Vacuum) (Pictured Below) - Interior Alarm Sensor Switch Have also ordered NGK Iridium plugs from Awesome GTI
I have the denso ikh24 and no problems for me.
ive ran the denso plugs in my stage 2 gli, and they worked great, had no issues with them.
As for the plugs, I bought [these NGK plugs]
NGK spark plugs are fine.
Been running NGKs in Sportsters forever with no issues. Good plug.
Denso IKH24 plugs gapped to 0.024". 6,900 miles. APR Stage 2 tune. Only issue was CEL error when we installed the Unitronic downpipe and flashed to the stage 2 tune. After troubleshooting and contacting APR, they had my shop re-flash to a stage 2 beta file, no more CEL error.
IS38 APR tune with Denso IKH24 plugs, no brainer cheap insurance.
Not sure what exactly your setup is/how well you have tuned for it, but on BKR7EIX plugs @ .028 and 25psi, I was encountering some spark blowout. Basically felt like the car dropped 2 cylinders, and my exhaust had muffled misfire sounds that basically sounded like a very fast skipping CD of fart noises lol.
My car started experiencing misfires after changing the sparkplugs. Never happened before. Now it gives me a code for random misfires and #4 in particular. Today is the second tome it happened after starting the car on a cold morning. Second time 2 weeks after changing spark plugs. Just after I start, when its still cold, and never during driving or idling when warmed up. Strange. Could it be the plugs. I am using the new NGK ones. NGK Part # 1675 Laser Platinum pre gapped. Didnt have a problem with this before. I think these a are one range colder than the previous ones I had in the car. Could that be the problem?
