Spark plug NGK or BERU

NGK Spark plug

I use NGK... it's the same 1/16 turn instructions on my Suzuki outboard (also NGK) and I use the same method of 1/4 -1/2 turn. Been good with those over 6 or 7 changes.

Pros: good over changes

I opted for the NGK DIFR6D13, since these were suggested by a local Honda dealership. These seem to be perfectly fine for the CR-Z. No complaints at all.

Pros: perfectly fine, no complaints
Vehicle: Honda
Part number: DIFR6D13

I've been running the NGK "rs7" plugs 06K905601M in my wagon since I went IS20 with an APR stage 3 91 tune. Stock gap out of the box was .026. I've now put about 6k on them and have had zero issues.

Pros: zero issues
Mileage: 9656 km
Part number: 06K905601M

NGK Spark plug

Used those for the same setup with no drama, stock gap measured at 0.026". I've run lots of different plugs....honestly, they make zero ****ing difference IMHO on my peasant IS20 and 38 1.8 sLOw OTS Uni tune...

Pros: no drama, reliable
Cons: no performance difference

I unknowingly sourced (6) NGK ILZKR7A Spark Plugs a year ago from eBay and installed them at 60K miles on my 3.6 VR6. I found out last week that the plugs were fakes. About a month ago I started getting random misfires. After detailing the issue in this thread here: https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthr...VR6-Cyl-2-Misfire-When-Taking-Off-Quick-From-Stop-Suggestions&highlight=Misfire I pulled the spark plugs and checked them last month and noted the gap was pretty far out of spec (weird for only being a year in), so I gapped them and reinstalled and the problem went a way for a few weeks. Last week I had another misfire, so I chalked it up to a bad batch of spark plugs and resigned to buy and install a new set.

Cons: random misfires, gap out of spec
Mileage: 96560 km
Part number: ILZKR7A
