Save money and go 4600 if you don’t care about lift. Mine have really improved the ride.
I used Eibach springs on mine and Bilstein shocks it looks good and doesn't ride that bad its def rougher but its not that bad it looks 10 times better tho
IMS has been great for me, I don’t think I’d find myself using adjustment to its full potential so I chose to use the savings for aftermarket UCAs and LT rear
I'm on a 2" IMS setup and relatively stock weight. They are "firmer but less crashy" than stock, if that makes sense. If you're loaded they're extremely nice. They're also a dream on dirt and gravel, and the low speed dampening is still strong enough that they don't compress too much when hitting harder rocky obstacles.
I have the standard twin tube nitrogen shocks with their UCA's and I love them. A little harsh when the truck is empty, but it rides like a Cadillac with 4 people and a couple hundred pounds of suitcases
I'm on Bilstein B8. Love it. I've had the Bilsteins on 3 different cars so obviously a fan. Bilstein are surely firmer than stock but not too much
I've got the B6 DCC on my 19 Golf R. Overall I really like this upgrade. I will say that I don't think the Bilsteins made a world of difference compared to the OEM shocks/struts, but the springs seem to have the car more settled and less frantic and ready to bounce off the road over every little bump.
Ive got Bilstein 5100s on my 99 with 4 inches of lift. Drives like a 20 year old truck instead of a 25 year old truck :)
My suspension progression has been S-line stock -> Euro S-line springs on stock dampers -> Bilstein PSS10 -> Ohlins R&T with Euro springs. I did like a lot of aspects of the Bilsteins, but they are just a little too harsh for me on uneven pavement around town
I tried the 034's as well, had Bilstein B8's with MSS kit adjustable springs. Broke the top stud off the B8's and when I sent them to Bilstein for warranty they blamed the stiffer upper strut bushing.
