The Mann filter I use in my 13 Jetta TDI is HU 719/7X. haven't had any problems with them.

I pay about $50 for my oil changes. I buy seven quarts of Mobil 1 5w-30 from Walmart and order a Mann filter from FCP Euro.

Synthetic oil has become much more costly in the past few years. I was paying about $45 for 10 quarts of synthetic and a Mann filter in 2019. It's now about $76 for the same.

Pros: Mann filter quality

Cons: synthetic oil costly

Bought 2 x 20 litre drum of Havoline® ProDS Fully Synthetic LE SAE 5W-40 when the Caltex name left Australia & Ampol sold off all the left over Caltex oil cheap at Repco. $42 for 20 litres!!!!

Pros: oil cheap at Repco

I also use MANN W719/30. That filter is designed to go a longer interval and for synthetic oils.

some mann filters have a nut at the buttom to make it easier to repmove on g60 but tis more cash for a dumm nut

Pros: nut for easier removal

Cons: costs more

Use good oil filters too!

I just had to do $1400 in repairs to a BMW because a Chinese oil filter ripped and passed unfiltered oil through all the VANOS shit. MANN filters only.

Pros: good oil filters

Cons: oil filter ripped
