I personally use the Penzoil Euro 0w-30 that matches the VW spec. I buy Mann filters on Amazon, 2 for $20.
I've used the A02 filter many times, and got them in bulk from Amazon. They're good. When I buy from the dealer, I get a 003 instead -- fewer holes, and made by Tennex instead of Honeywell. I find it easier to get A02 on the aftermarket at a better price, so usually go with that.
I change my oil when the maintainance minder gets to 50% with 0w20 and a Honda filter and don't bother resetting it.
Liqui Moly oil and Mann filters. You can buy kits or piece them out. Topside oil changes are easy; skip the jack. It's a 32 mm socket for the filter.
Ex: OEM Honda RTA oil filter with a new crush washer is $8 from my dealer
I’d be willing to spend a little more for the OEM oil filter
Might not make a difference, but the Honda oil filters are the best in the business.
34€ / 5 Liter ARAL 5W40 nach VW Norm 50200; 3-5€ / Ölfilter Original VW oder Mann
Have you considered checking oil pressure regulating valve? In the past I have replaced pretty undamaged filters when I did oil changes. But for the last three years I get crushed filters out of the housing.
I\u2019ve seen the same thing with MANN filters on my M54.
