$65-75 for 5 quarts of liqui moly and a filter. I do oil changes myself cause they are too easy not to and I don\u2019t trust anyone.
before taking it in go to the dealer parts counter and buy a genuine Hyundai oil filter and make sure it is installed on your engine before taking it in to be looked at.
Good ol Hyundai filters. Theyre relatively mess free
Liquimoly is more expensive, sure, but that’s what I buy. Comes in a nice little kit with a filter and I know I don’t have anything to worry about.
I change my oil filter every oil change n my advanced synthetic oil liqui moly last 9K
OEM Hyundai oil filters have a better anti-drainback valve than aftermarket filters, and they're cheap enough to use every time you change your oil. While I've used Mobil 1, Wix, and K&N oil filters on my other vehicles, my Elantra GT ONLY gets OEM filters. Personally, I wouldn't switch to aftermarket.
Here's the solution : your cam shaft position sensor is overheating and trying to save the engine by shutting it off prematurely instead of forcing limp mode. The fix is to use a Hyundai OEM oil filter, and check the gaskets/seals, then replace the cam sensor and crank sensor. I did this and never had a problem again.
Personally, I’d never use non-OEM parts (including filters) in my Tucson.
I do my oil changes and if i order online its less than 10$ a filter but if i dont place order online, its like 5 dollars more.
I had a Walmart do this to me in 06. Brand new Hyundai was on a cross country trip. First pm was due at 3k with the original break in oil we were at 4500 so stopped at a Walmart. Got 16 miles away and oil light come on no knocking. Oil all over engine. Had an oil filter that drops in in o6 them drop on paper ones were uncommon. They didn\u2019t change the o ring blew out all over the engine.
