Engine oil Castrol or VALVOLINE

Hola en mi experiencia podrías ponerle el siguiente aceite 5W20 ya sea de Castrol, Quake, o Bizol.

yo te diria q te fueras por un castrol edge 5w30

Que tal mi amigo, yo tengo exactamente el mismo carro un Mazda 2 2012 lo que podes hacer es leer el manual porque depende del clima del lugar donde lo vas a conducir (en este caso es Guatemala) segun el manual en la tabla API tenes que hecharle 10w30 yo ese uso, yo le hecho Castrol 10w30 full sintetico y cero problemas.

Extra info, I have seen some stuff about valvoline. Engine looks pretty clean inside after they ran valvoline restore and protect.

Change your oil to Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30! Change every 3000 miles, filter too!!!!!

Valvoline is the best and bang for the buck for me.

Now they use castrol power 1 ultimate 10w50

I talked with my friend who works in skoda dealership as mechanic, he told that castrol edge is the best motor oil for these mk 3 models because it comes from factory with it. They have run tests on Petrol and diesel engines and best for these engines is edge, because it's made for these engines.

Currently using Castrol Edge 5w-40 fully synthetic, previously was using Estremo Heatpro 5w-40 FS, differences is so minimal to the point where you just neglect and forget about it....

Smoothness the same, silky smooth.

Car feels slightly like just slightly lighter on pickup with Castrol.

I hated the castrol, I could tell the engine was louder with it compared to Pennzoil.
