I've been happy with my Hawk HPS. I don't track my car, but they handle the dragon fine.
I use Hawk HP Plus pads on track days. They bite great when cold and can take some punishment. They howl like a banshee during normal braking
I have brembo uv coated rotors front and rear. I only put them on in the fall but through 1 winter they still look like new. I have stoptech pads as well and they work very well, a solid improvement over stock, butttt they dust A LOT.
I have been using Stoptechs since uhmmm.. 2009? They have good initial bite and good braking feel. The down side is that they produce so much dust.
IMHO id run the StopTech Kelvar pads part # 309.16090 only $98 Cheap & great pads! better than OE TRW & Textar Crap that fades like crazy. i do alot of HPDE track days and the Stock pads ( organic compund) fade really bad.
All the people complaining about the noise of the Hawk, i cannot say that i experience the same result. They are a little squeakier than the OEM pads of course, but they aren't like full on race brake loud like people have reported. Maybe my experience is the outlier here, because i was really happy actually with them on the track
I've used EBC yellowstuff, works fine. I also love the Stoptech Street Performance pads, they have a higher temperature rating and are dirt cheap.
HP+ are fine on the track. They are not full-on race pads, but they will hold you down for the first few days back. We run those on the Scirocco LeMons car - it's so light that it never gets the brakes beyond warm. I also run them with summer tyres on my wagon - Great balanced pad that lets you know you are braking.
I have hawk HPS on mine. Dust wise they arent too bad. But I wouldnt mind something cleaner. They do the same thing and hang over the inner edge a bit.
Just checked mine 5 minutes ago. I have a 2016 Autobahn with PP. I don't have this feature.
