I went with Brembo OE ceramic pads and their cross drilled rotors. Bit better bite than stock, IMO. Not very noisy and dust is about the same as stock

Pros: Better bite than stock, not noisy
Cons: Dust similar to stock

I've always used Brembo as long as it's available. In my experience, it's always been an upgrade to use brembo branded pads and when changing cars. No noises, nice feel, predictable. I don't do any hard driving, like track days or anything, but for road trips across mountains with full loads and all types of weather, they always gave me confidence.

Pros: no noise, nice feel, predictable

Brembo Brake pads

Brembo is a good brand when it comes to rotors and ceramic brake pads. I got a pair of rotors and ceramic brake pads for 280ish CAD plus shipping and taxes.

Pros: good brand

To save you money, they probably did not need to change right rear caliper if only your left one was seized. They also could’ve given you options for prices on brakes and rotors as it appears they quoted you for dealer quality brake pads.

Pros: options for prices
Cons: dealer quality expensive
Mileage: 146000 km

I'm running a Trueno, which has the factory Brembos. With the stock pads at a track with a decent amount of braking demand (at which I've had more severe brake issues in several other cars), I get about half way into a session before they start to fade... not bad, but enough to notice reduced performance (firm pedal, just longer braking zones). There's no doubt that running an actual track pad that's meant for the heat will completely resolve the issue.

Cons: brake fade, reduced performance
Vehicle: Toyota

Brembo Brake pads

So akebono also makes original mazda brake pads. You see the stamp on the box and brake pads it self. Brembo sucks for normal cars. Had brembo and with in a year less than 15k miles, they need to be replaced.

Cons: needs replacement quickly
Mileage: 15000 km
