Brake pads Brembo or Ferodo
I like the Ferodos and I would buy them again. They had good feel and bite, and they are quiet.
The Ferodo's are great. I will need to replace my pads after my next event in January. I am going to try Carbotech pads this next time, XP10 in front and XP8 in the rear after discussing my needs with them.
Currently on my EP3 I'm running the spoon monoblocks behind enkei rpf1's as you can see here. With Brembo discs using Ferodo Ds 2500 brake pads. Also running Hell braided lines with motol 600 brake fluid.
I will be running Ferodo DS2500 brake pads in front and OEM pads on the rear.
Ferodo DS2500. Pricey but worth it. Fantastic street/autocross/HPDE pad. Low initial bite and incredibly easy to modulate. Does not stick on release like the HP+ is known to.
I eventually made it out the track and was surprised how well the car performed despite worn, stock brakes and tyres. Each lap brought more and more confidence although the long straight did bring some serious speed. I saw 110mph pretty much each lap and on lap 6 or 7 on the first run the brake pedal became a bit too soft for my liking followed by a bit of smoke in the rear view mirror.
He also really likes the responsiveness of the brakes.
I would like them from Ferodo as well. I have them on my BRZ and they are great.
I have the R56S brakes on my R53, and I've had Brembo ceramic pads and cross-drilled rotors since I installed the calipers a little over a year ago. I'd recommend the pads, although I can't comment on how much they dust, because I have white wheels and any dust on them seems like a lot. The drilled rotors look awesome and perform really well, but my issue is that they have slightly warped since I put them on last year. If you decide to go the Brembo route, I'd probably recommend doing the slotted rotors instead of the drilled to prevent the warping.
Wow, can't believe you're cutting costs on brakes. You state that you have the speed limiter removed and still you are questioning the brakes? IMO the biggest dumbass move
