Brake discs Brembo or POWER STOP
Power Stop drilled&slotted rotors Stop Tech Sport Pads ECS Upgraded caliper hardware (oem GTI) ECS SS brake lines ATE DOT4 Fluid
I recently used the powerstop kit with their carbon ceramic pads and drilled slotted rotors and theyre fantastic. Amazing stopping power and extremely low brake dust.
I have power stop rotors and raybestos element 3 brake pads and it’s a noticeable improvement over the oem pads. I feel much more confident driving and stopping with the new rotors and pads.
I've only driven them a little, but they're quiet and work pretty well.
Brembo rotors and pads are cheaper than OEM and way better.
Get some slightly more aggressive pads and GOOD OEM blank rotors i.e. Brembro. Do SS lines ATE super blue fluid or whatever the current offering is (they can't do blue anymore).
I recently put on slotted and drilled Power Stop Z23 rotors and brakes on all 4s. they’re quite sturdy and perform very well.
Cost me $260 (parts and labor) to have the 4 Brembo rotors installed and the brakes are working great again. I think I am partially to blame for not bedding the pads properly.
I have their drilled discs on my TR6. My dream was Ceriani, forks with disc brakes, I still have a new brembo caliper. They are and were a status item.
On my old '93 300ZX, my brakes were shot so I had specifically ordered Brembo (solid) rotors, Hawk HPS pads, SS brake lines and the blue performance brake fluid. honestly, I really never felt that the brakes were that much better than oem.
