Brake discs Brembo or POWER STOP

POWER STOP Brake discs

I just got a full set of power stop. They worked out great, only I wish that I would have gotten the coated rotors. The surface rust forming on the uncoated rotors looks bad, but doesn’t affect performance.

Pros: great performance
Cons: surface rust

Get thicker ones (5.5mm). I also warped my stock ones and got Brembo supersports instead, I feel like they withstand whatever I throw at them.

Pros: withstand high heat
Cons: stock ones warped

My OEM Calipers are still looking good at 200k. I just put OEM pads and Brembo Rotors for less than 200 bucks. Next time I will be doing the 199 Caliper and Rotor Upgrade.

Pros: OEM calipers good at 200k
Mileage: 200000 km

I used the Power Stop Z36 kit. It has drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. It was about $425 for all 4 shipped directly to my house last year. So far they seem great.

Pros: seem great so far

Brembo Brake discs

BNT are good for brake stuff - they normally have two options, their cheaper brand and brembo. Did rotors and pads front and rear on an Audi A3 for $650 for brembo rotors and Bendix pads as an indication.

Pros: good for brake stuff
Vehicle: Audi A3

My power stop rotors lasted about 8 months before warping. Had the bright idea that I could save a few bucks putting them in for a few years before doing the tundra swap.

Cons: warped after 8 months
