You normally would never need to resurface the rear rotors on this car, we only resurface the front unless there's something really abnormal.
During my last service, I mentioned there was possible rocks or something rubbing in between the pads + rotors on one of the corners. They diagnosed and machining the rotors fixed it.
I run ATE Powerdisc and ceramic pads too! The discs look amazing and the lack of dust is lovely.
Full ATE PowerDisc and Ceramic pad brake overhaul done today - I’ve run these discs & pads a few times now on previous E39s inc. both my Jap import E39s and they’re superb.
Excellent bite from the off / cold and little to no dust.
You are being taken for a ride. 7 mm is the run out for Honda/Acura. I own a 2001 accord, and a 2004 crv, and have never had to replace the rotors, or calipers.
I\u2018d always use ATE, they\u2019re pretty high quality and usually what OEMs use
looks like ate power rotor (at least ones i had with "flower" shape were ate power). grewt rotors, a bit noisy on braking, but when flower is gone, rotor is for trash also... btw pad is upside down
ATE rotors. Check the callipers, they don' t work properly.
I have had a positive experience with ATE rotors from a German brand. I had a bad experience with Bosch brake pads in Europe a few times; they squeaked and made noises at low speeds
Never had any issues except warped rotors on one
