My battery was the [factory one from 2007], changed it in 2023. Couldn't find a replacement Varta back then and had to choose fast, so I picked Yuasa (Japanese brand) and it's working good till now.

Pros: working good

YUASA Battery

I bought a shorter mobility scooter battery with same chemistry as the original, YUASA REC36-12, however the polarity was reversed. I extended the negative pole and installed it without an issue and car came back to normal.

Pros: car came back to normal
Cons: polarity was reversed
Part number: REC36-12

But during the ownership i found it really reliable, the only things i needed fixing were: battery (it was the original one over 7 years old), tyres and brake discs/pads (consumables on any car) and the regular oil/filter services.

Pros: really reliable
Vehicle: BMW X1

The only issue we’ve had with it is recently a bunch of warning lights started popping up randomly but all at the same time. I assumed it was a wiring issue or something since none of the systems it said were disabled actually were. Dealership couldnt replicate it so it took a couple weeks of bringing it back and forth every time it happened before they were able to see anything on their end. Replaced the battery and it’s been fine since.

Pros: fine since replacement
Cons: warning lights popping up
Vehicle: BMW

Unfortunately have to disagree about Yuasa, This 2018 battery is not the same as what you will get as a replacement from Yuasa today. I think they moved manufacturing from Taiwan and the quality has fell. My last two DRZ400 batteries were Yuasa and they didnt last 2 years. Even with tender on for the few months I didnt ride the bike.

Pros: tender on for months
Cons: quality has fell

I bought a Yuasa battery from AutoPro, and they told me it comes with a 2-year warranty. After about one and a half years, the battery almost completely died. I had it tested and was told it was dead and needed replacement.

Pros: 2-year warranty
Cons: battery almost completely died
Vehicle: Lexus LS
